Types of Cysts

There are several types of cysts that we can deal with!
Cysts are common, & thankfully steaming has seen success with several cases.
Some cysts are more external such as:
Epidermal Clitoral Cysts - these are often hard & filled with skin, not fluid.
Paraurethral Cysts - in this case the paraurethral ducts located on either side of the urethra can get blocked. They often drain very easily with steam.
Epidermoid Cysts - Often on the outer labia, can be painless.
Labial Abscess - These are under the skin of the labia. These can be caused by infected hair follicles (these are the cysts I would get & man were they painful! Steaming healed them right up.)
Slightly inside the vaginal canal:
Vulva-Vaginal Gland Cysts/Bartholin Gland Cysts - These are the glands that lubricate the vagina & can get blocked. These can usually drain very easily with steam.
On the ovaries:
Ovarian Cysts - These are fluid-filled pockets of the ovaries ranging in size from under 1 cm to over 10cm. They can be incredibly painful & cause other issues like ovarian torsion (blood supply to ovary is cut off), rupture (very painful!), abnormal bleeding fertility issues & in some cases cancer.
Dermoid Cysts - Also on the ovaries, these cysts are packed with skin, not fluid. These cysts take longer to drain with steaming than fluid-filled cysts.
If you are dealing with cysts, know that often they can be resolved quickly!
